Description:

Come join the staff of Kobe, Japan — the land of Kobe Beef and man-made islands — a thriving metropolis of more than two million people. Multiple international schools await in this unique location.

This staff person would take on the roles of leading club and Campaigners with high school and middle school students, working specifically within the current setup and connections at Canadian Academy, helping that ministry to flourish, while building toward a second club at Marist Brothers International School, where there are growing connections.

Currently, both international school and local Japanese school ministries are combined. With this staff person's focus on the international community, the Japanese ministry can grow into its own club and would not be their responsibility.

A local committee, volunteers and growing relationships among faculty of local schools will be in place to support the staff member.

There is a lot of crossover between the Kobe Union Church (a non-denominational international church) youth group events and Young Life events. There is good moral support from the KUC church body, as well as financial support to provide meals for students at Campaigners. The current youth pastor is highly involved as a Young Life volunteer and has 12 years of Young Life staff experience.
