Mission Staff — Spirit Lake, ND

Description:

​This exciting position is held in collaboration with a major denomination serving the Spirit Lake Tribal Community. We are looking for an individual to recruit, develop and train a team of volunteers, building relationships with kids in the Spirit Lake community.

Responsibilities:

  • ​Carry out weekly outreach events with excellence. 
  • Model great contact work and ensure the leadership team is intentionally building friendships with high school students.
  • Develop a personal development plan and invest in your leadership through training, mentorship and consistent learning.
  • Build a leadership team of diverse adults and college-age students.
  • Develop an annual camping strategy for high school students.​

Qualifications:

  • A deep and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • A desire and ability to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith, and the ability to teach others to do the same.
  • A proven track record of success in youth ministry or working with high school-age teens in a multiethnic environment.
  • Able to communicate your faith in a relational style ministry.
  • College degree preferred but not necessary.
  • Excellent cross cultural relational and communication skills with students and adults.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
  • Young Life experience preferred but not necessary.​
