Maintenance Technician — Colorado Springs, CO


Provide support to the director of Building Services and the Building Services team ensuring all responsibilities are handled in a timely and quality manner to include maintenance of electrical, mechanical, building, construction and landscaping of the four Young Life properties in Colorado Springs.


  • ​Assist the Building Services team with staff service calls and work orders in a timely manner.
  • Minor electrical repairs, change light bulbs and electrical ballasts, wire fixtures and repair small equipment as needed.
  • Minor changes and monitoring of the automated HVAC system.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and respond to DIN items.
  • Re-configure office furniture and cubes.
  • Handle tasks related to security to include Security Computer Access System.
  • Responsible for scheduling regular maintenance checks on Young Life-owned vehicles.
  • Available after normal business hours due to security or other Building Services emergencies as needed.
  • Perform other Building Services tasks as necessary.


  • High school education or its equivalent with four years building maintenance experience.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment that may include lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending down, stooping, stretching, kneeling and reaching.
  • Occasional travel to off-site locations for Young Life-related events to set up and operate audio/visual equipment. 

Experience Required for the Job

  •  General knowledge of building maintenance.
  •  Basic knowledge of hand tools and some power tools.
  •  Must be able to life 50 pounds.
  •  Availability/flexibility with schedule for on-call status (if need arises).
  •  Self-starter.
