Event Solutions Support Specialist (Temporary) — Colorado Springs, CO

Description:

This position provides comprehensive, world-class service and solutions to Young Life staff and volunteers in their fundraising efforts at events, primarily through an online web presence and technical support. Support specialists will engage deeply to offer assistance, ideas and support for all inquiries while helping ensure events and systems align with Young Life’s overall Taking Donors Seriously (TDS) strategy, exuding the Young Life brand and DNA. This position will exemplify Financial Services’ commitment to serve with integrity and passion, execute with excellence, and demonstrate Christ-honoring care and professionalism while representing the mission of Young Life. 


Responsibilities:

  • On a daily basis, answer phone calls and email inquiries from staff and volunteers.
  • Maintain tracking records of calls and correspondence.
  • Use existing technology to set up online registration, payment and donation portals.
  • Provide excellent administrative support to the Event Solutions department and other specialists as required.
  • Perform transactional research and corrections as required.
  • Manage content on various Young Life web platforms.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Participate in the collaborative efforts of the Event Solutions team, including brainstorming, devotions and more.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. 
  • Some business-related experience preferred. 
  • Previous Young Life staff involvement and/or an understanding of field culture, structure and events preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Collaborative office space with significant time at workstation spent on a computer and fielding calls.
  • Mandatory overtime will be required on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications Required for the Job

  • Professional and pleasant phone presence.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to pay extreme attention to detail and handle daily multi-tasking.
  • Excellent professional communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
