Area Director I — Phoenix, AZ

Description:

This is a challenging but exciting opportunity to sustain and grow ministry work in the inner city of Phoenix. More than 50,000 adolescents live in these neighborhoods, the majority of which are Latino.

This Young Life community is healthy and looking to grow. This area is well supported by an adult committee and an associate regional director focused on multiethnic ministry. This area will be the result of a split of one large existing area and will operate in close partnership with its neighboring areas.

Currently, we have 10 active ministries including WyldLife, Young Life and YoungLives. The area has a deep and diverse leadership team with two student staff, two YoungLives staff, an experienced administrator, seasoned senior leaders, and a deep pool of more than 70 leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Prayerfully manage a group of dedicated staff and volunteers as they love people in the name of Jesus.
  • Develop a community of leaders who love one another and are growing in spiritual depth.

  • Recruit adult leaders (both senior leaders and committee).
  • Supervise and train part-time staff (two student staff and two YoungLives staff).
