Area Director - Montoursville, PA

Looking for the candidate who is able to work with students, leaders and committee to make an area healthy and vibrant. This area director position has been well supported by the community with a minimal amount of personal support supplied by the staff person. There is currently one high school club in Montoursville, and a new club starting in Loyalsock. We have students from South Williamsport attending club in Montoursville. The committee has eight to 10 people serving on it currently with significant opportunity for growth. There are two small colleges near Montoursville (10 minutes), and both have had leaders plugged in.

Run a solid Young Life area including all facets of our ministry: high school, middle school, Capernaum, YoungLives, and possibly at some point Young Life College. We are looking for someone who can communicate clearly with students and adults and who can do what is necessary to develop a healthy communication and financial standard.

We need someone who is successful with students -- but is also a coach -- who can work with the community and build successful models for committee, leadership and community involvement. This person will need to be able to work with local churches, business leaders, as well as recruiting college and post college leaders.

Standard Young Life Benefits package. Salary would be based on experience within and outside of Young Life.

Montoursville is a small community outside of Williamsport, Pa. The area is a mix of small town feel and a city school with Williamsport High School. There are some good churches in the area that have been supportive of Young Life and many local businesses. The area is ideal for people who enjoy the outdoors including hunting, fishing, hiking, running and biking. Williamsport is about one hour away from Penn State University and all that is offered there. It is also about half an hour from Bucknell University.
