Area Director II — S. Jefferson County, CO


​South Jefferson County is a wonderful community that is composed of the southwestern suburbs of the Denver metropolitan area. The area has a vibrant 44-year history of Young Life. Ministry currently includes eight clubs representing seven schools and a Capernaum club. The next area director will be an individual who can provide leadership to this area and help to build the vision for continued growth and impact. There are currently two staff associates serving in the area as well as an area administrator, and multiple part-time staff. In addition, there are more than 50 volunteers who serve in South Jefferson County.


  • ​Spiritual leadership, supervision, training and recruiting of leaders. 
  • Growing and deepening current relationships with Colorado Christian University and area churches, as well as developing new relationships. 
  • Good working relationship with committee. 
  • Working alongside the area administrator to ensure organized and efficient communication with donors, committee, parents and leaders.
  • Area resource development as well as personal donor development of at least $25,000. 
  • Expansion of the area vision and strategic plan to go deeper into existing ministries and wider into new ministries. 
  • Participate in direct ministry in one existing ministry, preferably the Young Life club. 
  • Participation in annual staff events and training events.
  • Previous Young Life area director experience strongly preferred. 
  • Spiritual maturity and commitment to continued personal and spiritual growth. 
  • Strong organizational skills. 
  • Enthusiasm for and proficiency in working cross-culturally and in building diverse teams. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate the unique mission and methods of Young Life internally and externally. 
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising and in executing an area TDS strategy. 
  • Entrepreneurial skills and the ability to equip and empower others to share leadership. 
  • Bachelor's degree required.
