Area Director — Berkeley, CA

We are looking for a gifted leader to continue our long-standing ministry in Berkeley. Berkeley is an urban, trend-setting, beautiful, family-friendly college town, and home to the University of California Berkeley! Uniquely positioned between Oakland and Richmond, this town is booming with college students and alumni, diversity, beautiful scenery and an amazing history.

The ideal candidate will continue to collaborate with local ministries, churches and community organizations to reach middle school and high school kids in the Berkeley area for Jesus. We currently have a small high school ministry in place, led by a student staff person, and Young Life College at UC Berkeley, led by a part-time staff person.

Berkeley is a liberal community of creatives who have a mixture of hippie roots and urban culture. It is very diverse and open-minded and will take a creative, adaptable person who can cross-culturally connect to those who are not accustomed to Christian culture. There’s no place quite like it, and we can’t wait to see who God brings here next.
