Area Administrator I — Condon, OR


​Condon Young Life is a Young Life area without a full-time staff associate. The area growth plan is to develop a thriving ministry of Young Life in the high school. The area is blessed with a vital committee and is able to support a part-time administrator going forward (beginning at five hours per week). This person will work in concert with the committee and head leader to create the most effective model for administration. This is an amazing opportunity to grow with a Young Life area!



  • Manage area communications including informational texts, emails, newsletters and mailings as needed.
  • Manage the area’s website and Instagram by keeping content current as directed.
  • Create and manage the delivery of area newsletters on a regular basis.
  • Act as area point-person for donor, leader, parent and community member questions.


  • Build and maintain leader databases, ensuring that leader forms, driver questionnaires and criminal background checks are up-to-date.
  • Build and maintain the area calendar for direct ministry and committee, communicating with appropriate parties to keep on track with upcoming activities and deadlines.
  • Able to maintain flexibility within assigned tasks and problem solve.
  • Lead other administrative tasks as needed.


  • Lead the annual summer camping process including registration, camp communication, transportation details, and other logistics like camp send-off and student fundraising.
  • Work with committee to coordinate the execution of the annual fundraiser event. Lead communications and coordination as requested.
  • Design and coordinate other area events as needed such as: community meals, area Christmas party, leadership trainings.


  • ​Two years previous administrative assistant experience or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience with all or most of: Google Docs, Concur, Apple OS, Microsoft Office Suite, Doodle Polls, Facebook, Instagram, web page editing, and/or email marketing platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Satisfactory CQ Evaluation (cultural intelligence).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Strong writing and editing skills for newsletters, digital and print communication, and written relational engagement with our community.
  • Ability to type 50+ words/minute.
  • Phone etiquette with leaders, donors, staff and volunteers.
  • Willingness to learn and be trained by the area director and regional administrator.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
