Area Director/Staff Associate (International Schools) –– Arusha, Tanzania

We are seeking an experienced staff person to fill an area director position for Young Life ministry in Arusha, Tanzania. The staff member will be working with three, English-speaking International Schools in the area that has a combined club. The students attending these schools are children of a diverse community of expats from all over the world. This is a transient community, with the teens desiring the stability and commitment that God can offer through Young Life. There are parents and volunteers wanting to support the work to be done here, and there is potential for WyldLife to begin as well. In addition to this, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a growing International School’s team in Tanzania, Malawi and Rwanda.

About the Area

Arusha is the safari capital of the world, with the “bush” as the backyard. Within an hour drive, you can be surrounded by elephants and all the other safari animals. Within two hours, you can be standing on the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro for a day hike. Mt. Meru, another volcano, is right in Arusha and can be viewed from anywhere in the city.
