Support and Sustain Young Life in Devastated Communities
Young Life ministry throughout the Texas Gulf Coast has been impacted by Hurricane Harvey, and Hurricanes Irma and Maria have impacted Young Life in Latin America and the Caribbean.

This page has been created to provide information and updates on the impact of these storms on Young Life ministry. We invite you to learn more and, if you are able, to support and sustain our presence in the lives of kids and their families in affected areas.

Texas Gulf Coast
Young Life is on the ground, in the lives of kids in many Texas Gulf Coast communities devastated by Hurricane Harvey. A number of Young Life staff have lost homes. Young Life areas anticipate that local financial support will decrease as many of the families who support our work with teens in their communities have also suffered greatly.
Latin America / Caribbean Islands
All of our staff in Puerto Rico have reported in and are safe, but the island is largely without power and will be for the immediate future due to Hurricane Maria. Many staff are asking how they can care for those in their communities while also meeting their own basic needs. They have a long, difficult road ahead of them.

Our staff in Mexico are recovering from the earthquakes and seeking to care for kids.
