Dan Jessup

Dan began his Young Life journey attending club as a high schooler in Santa Barbara, California and started his relationship with the Lord there. He then attended Pepperdine University, where he was volunteer Young Life leader and met his wife, Elizabeth. He then graduated from Pepperdine University in 1981 with a BS in Biology and went onto Princeton Theological Seminary, where he graduated in 1984 with a Masters of Divinity. Dan joined Young Life staff in 1982 and was an Area Director in Sacramento and Colorado Springs, Regional Director in the Pikes Peak Region (SE Colorado, New Mexico and El Paso, TX), Director of Leadership Development for Young Life in Africa, Asia and Latin America, and most recently, the Senior Vice President of Young Life in Latin America and the Caribbean. Dan recently finished his PhD from Fuller University with an emphasis in Distance Leadership and now serves Young Life as the Group Senior Vice President of Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, and the Former Soviet Union. Dan brings a unique combination of over 23 years of ministry experience in the USA and over 13 years of international experience coupled with a strong theological and academic background.  

 

Dan has been married for over 37 years to his wife Elizabeth, and they have 3 boys: Taylor, Kevin and Brian, who is married to Haley and expecting their first child in January 2020.​
