Chief Financial Officer

Cynthia graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers University, with a B.A. in economics/accounting. She began her career in banking but transitioned to financial management within the truck division of Mitsubishi, later becoming the company’s chief financial officer. Following a merger, she was asked to relocate from New Jersey to North Carolina.

At this time, Koerner served on the board of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and she sensed God leading her to full-time ministry. As she resigned from Daimler, she was introduced to Young Life, which was soon to begin a search for a CFO. Cynthia prayerfully accepted that position and moved with her family to Colorado Springs in September 2011.

In addition to her other CFO responsibilities, Cynthia chairs the Young Life Investment committee, which oversees Young Life Foundation assets. She also sits on the Pension and Benefits committees and is a board member of Military Community Youth Ministry (MCYM).
