The Young Life Board of Trustees recently welcomed two returning trustees — Sue Beré and Tom Thomas, both of whom previously served on the Board from 2004-2008. Four Trustees currently serving on the Board, John Bradford, Jeff Pope, Paul Trible and Curtis McWilliams, were also elected to another four-year term at the April meeting.
Sue Beré
Sue Beré, who served in a private counseling practice, has an extensive background with Young Life on a local, regional and national level. She has served as a leader and also as a member of both local and regional committees. As a professional counselor, she has provided career counseling to the Young Life Heartland Region.
Beré has also been a national board member and vice-chair for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Beré and her husband, Jim, reside in Neenah, Wis., and have three children: Allison, Jim and John.
Tom Thomas
Tom Thomas has served Young Life as a member of a local committee, a regional committee and the development board for Timber Wolf Lake. He also has provided information technology consulting for the Young Life Service Center.
Thomas has been the director and chairman of Sircon Corporation for seven years and is a retired chairman and chief executive officer of Creative Solutions, Inc. Throughout his career, he served on the board of directors for more than 10 public and private companies.
Tom and his wife, Jan, reside in Ann Arbor, Mich., and Bonita Springs, Fla. They have two grown children, Tom and Scott.
