This weekend, Mike Edwards, a member of the Young Life team, captured his first National Hot Rod Association Full Throttle Pro Stock World Championship title at the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals in Pomona, Calif.

Edwards entered the Pomona event needing only to qualify to win the world championship title, and by the end of the day Saturday, Edwards, with his ART/Young Life Pontiac GXP, qualified No. 1 just as he had 16 times this season. The points earned for...
