U.S. Field Staff

Depending on what your classification is on Young Life field staff — intern, second wind, fast track or mission staff — you will receive a variety of training that may include:

• Training schools: New Staff Training, Winter Training, Area Director School
• Leadership training: Field-based, mentor-driven courses. Each course is a practicum emphasizing the basic theology, philosophy and methodology of youth outreach. Seminary credit is available for these courses.

International Field Staff

Trainings for International field staff include an International Information Weekend for those considering "going International," a training for all new Young Life staff, a cross-cultural orientation and ongoing regional leadership gatherings. View the details on each of these trainings.

Service Center Staff

All new Service Center staff attend a new employee orientation. Depending on the department, additional training may be offered.

Camping Staff

Training for new camping staff varies depending on the staff person and the position, but all new camping staff go through new employee orientation.

Volunteers

Young Life areas provide their own training for volunteer leaders. Depending on the area, your Young Life training may include:

• Training from staff on contact work, Campaigners and leading at camp
• eLearning courses: Web-based courses on a variety of ministry-related topics
