You Were Made for This

If you're familiar with Young Life then you've experienced a mission serious about Christ, kids and relationships. Maybe you share our spirit of fun, enthusiasm and grace — and want to play a part in changing kids' lives. If you're new to Young Life, you're probably reading this because someone believes in you and your ability to make an impact in the lives of kids. Find out more about Young Life.

A Firm Foundation

Our goal is to pursue excellence in our ministry. We want to love, honor, respect and support staff. We want to pursue deep, unhurried relationships with Jesus. – Denny Rydberg, President, Young Life

Since 1941, Young Life has been making a difference in the lives of kids around the world because we are invited and supported by adults who care about kids in their community. Our staff and leaders are trained in time-tested methods of relating with adolescents, and they are equipped by a world-class organization dedicated to effective ministry.

Your Great Adventure

Once you come on Young Life staff, you will ...

    • Experience Jesus in new ways as you live out your calling as His disciple, participating with Him in the work of His kingdom.
    • Be stretched in faith as you share Jesus with non-believing adolescents.
    • Develop relationships with experienced staff members. New staff will work closely with an experienced Young Life staff member, who will serve as a model, mentor, tutor, friend and supporter.
    • Be challenged as you step out of your comfort zone and do things you have never done before.
    • Be trained in the areas of fundraising, development and management.
    • Be afforded opportunities for theological education.
    • Acquire leadership skills that translate into so many other areas of life.
    • Learn from some of the world's top experts in youth ministry.

Being an area director with Young Life not only challenges me to put my faith into action as I work with kids, but it also stretches me as I learn the skills required to run a small business. Whether it be inviting kids to camp, managing a non-profit's budget, meeting with donors or training leaders, I have learned that ministry is all-encompassing. Being on staff causes me to trust Christ every day, and to walk in this high calling with integrity. – Kate Morgner, Area Director, Northern Delaware
