Voices of Young Life
My two kids were introduced to Young Life in middle school. Your entire organization reflects excellence. I know there's a lot of volunteer support for Young Life and I see how hard your people work. - Art, Virginia

Amicus

Through Amicus International Student Exchange, students from all over the globe come to the United States and live with families who love Christ. During the school year, students also have the opportunity to participate in Young Life area activities. Students are exposed to the Gospel through host family relationships, churches the families attend and Young Life clubs and camps. View one exchange student's story.

Amicus Host Families Needed

All over the United States, we need volunteer families who are willing to open their homes and host an Amicus student for one year. If you want to use your gift of hospitality and be a missionary from your own home, this is for you! You can express God's love through your lifestyle and plug the Amicus student into Young Life and a church in the local community. Students can go back to their home countries with their lives changed and impact their own countries for Christ. Your family will be blessed by the experience. Make an eternal difference in the life of an exchange student. Be a host family!

Amicus Representatives Needed

Amicus needs volunteer representatives who will coordinate placements of exchange students and nurture and oversee their stay in the United States. You will be the liaison between the host family, the school and the student. Amicus kids will grow to love you, and you can impact their lives during their one-year stay! Training, small stipend and possible travel opportunities available.

Toll-Free Number for Amicus Exchange Students

The Department of State has established a toll-free number to enable secondary school students to contact the Department of State directly regarding issues related to their exchange visitor program and their stay in the United States. The telephone number is (866) 283-9090 and is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A Department staff person will be available to assist you. This toll-free number is also on your Amicus Identification Card.

Amicus Medical Insurance

Amicus, Young Life’s International Exchange Student Ministry, has secured health and accident insurance for each student in the event that it is needed during the year. This coverage is for Amicus student exchange program participants only.
