How do I find Young Life in my area? Edit

The Locator will help you find Young Life in your area. If the city or town you live in is not listed, please search for the nearest town and call that area office. They will be glad to help you learn more about Young Life in your community.
Bullying between students is a growing concern. What is Young Life doing to address this problem? Edit

Young Life seeks to have a positive impact in the communities of which we are a part. Young Life leaders strive to create an atmosphere of acceptance, modeling acceptance and love for all kids. We encourage students involved in our programs to do the same.
Is a criminal background check part of the screening process for Young Life staff and volunteers? Edit

Keeping Kids Safe is a priority for Young Life. As such, all Young Life staff and volunteer leaders go through a careful screening process that consists of an application, interview(s), character references and criminal background checks. What happens at club? Edit

Every Young Life club is a combination of fun, humor and time for kids to hear about God in terms they can understand. Young Life staff and/or leaders are there with kids for club. Club is held at a neutral location where kids feel safe. Depending on the community you’re in, club may be at a student’s house, the school or a local community center. Usually, clubs are held weekly throughout the school year.

Both Young Life and WyldLife clubs have similar characteristics, but WyldLife, since it is for middle school kids, incorporates activities that are more developmentally appropriate for that age group. Both clubs incorporate a mix of humor, games, music and a short message from a leader about God presented in a way kids can relate to.
Does my child have to be a Christian or believe in God to attend Young Life? Edit

Your child doesn’t have to be a Christian or believe in God to attend Young Life. At Young Life, kids will definitely hear talk about Jesus and the Christian faith and will be encouraged to think about what all that means for them. But they never have to be a Christian to attend or become a Christian to stay. We want all kids to feel free to be curious, even skeptical. We want them to check it all out, ask questions and have fun.
Is Young Life affiliated with a particular denomination? Edit

Young Life is non-denominational and has been from the outset (1941). Therefore, we are not affiliated with any denomination, nor do we encourage one Christian denomination over another. Our staff and volunteers affiliate with a wide range of Christian denominations — both Protestant and Catholic.
What about church? What role does Young Life play in kids going to church? Edit

Young Life values the role that churches can play in kids’ lives. Young Life staff and leaders are committed followers of Jesus Christ and come from many denominations, and we encourage kids to become involved in the churches that are most familiar to their families and to respect the faith traditions of their families when it comes to denominational issues. If their families are not connected with a church, we offer suggestions when appropriate. If the family already attends a church, kids are encouraged to attend there as well. If not, Young Life staff and leaders will help kids find a church they feel comfortable attending.

What happens at WyldLife or Young Life camp? Edit

At camp, kids enjoy a variety of activities with their leaders. Depending on what’s offered at each camp, some examples include a ropes course, mountain biking, tubing and horseback riding. Throughout the week there are all-camp activities like club, and there's also plenty of free time. Delicious meals are served three times a day, and kids and leaders stay in comfortable cabins. My child is going to a Young Life camp. Can I make a payment toward her camp trip online? Edit

Yes. Just go to payments.younglife.org and do a search for the camp trip that your child will be going on. Once you've located the trip, select "Make Payment." Please be sure to indicate which camper your payment is for.
