Young Life is a world-class ministry for adolescents. Our staff and volunteers enter the world of kids, focusing on what matters to them — fun, adventure, friendship and a sense of significance. In doing so, we earn the privilege of talking to them about something that we think matters most of all — the truth about Jesus Christ.

A Firm Foundation

In 1939 a group of women gathered across from the high school in Gainesville, Texas, to pray that the kids in their community would hear about Jesus Christ. Though they didn't know it, those women were the first Young Life committee.

Today, groups of adults serving on Young Life committees around the world are making a difference in the lives of kids in their communities.
