Voices of Young Life

Kent Williams

Kent and his lovely bride, Janie, are in their 20th year of wedded bliss, and they have been blessed by God with two fantastic children; Paige and Joel.  He graduated from the University of Washington, majoring in Speech Communication. (His parents pray that someday Kent will actually use his degree in some way.)  After years of volunteering, Kent joined Young Life staff in Seattle in 1994. After serving in Seattle for six years on staff, Kent and Janie felt God's call to Clackamas, Ore., in 2000 and have been serving the community since. In the fall of 2011, Kent began the transition to special assistant to the President of Young Life, where he can use his God-given gifts to serve Christ and the mission of Young Life.

Kent's speaking and program experience includes:

  • Assignments at Young Life camps where he has shared the Gospel to thousands of middle school and high school kids as speaker and program director.
  • Engagements at church services and weekend camps.
  • Opportunities to speak around the world to international students on service projects.
  • Chapel speaker for colleges and private schools.
