Young Life is governed by a Board of Trustees, whose ultimate responsibility is to control and conduct the affairs of the organization. The primary function of the Board is summarized as follows:
- Provide oversight by setting and approving policies that enable Young Life to fulfill its mission;
- Review and approve annual operational budget;
- Assess and evaluate the successfulness of organizational goals and ministry objectives; and
- Fulfill other miscellaneous assignments relating to the governance of the organization.
Distinctive from the governance of the Board of Trustees at the corporate level, Young Life utilizes adult volunteers, called Committee, at the local community level to support and guide the field staff assigned to each area of ministry.
